Mediterranean Cooking Class and Tasting

January 23, 2015 by Amy Langrehr

Aglaia Kremezi, Greek cook, author and lecturer will present a lunchtime cooking demonstration and tasting on January 31, 2015 in the Annunciation Orthodox Center in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Kremezi introduced Greek cooking to an American audience with her Julia Child Award-winning “The Foods of Greece.” Recently, she has gone back to her roots, rediscovering the delicious, fresh, healthy, easy-to-make recipes of her childhood like Flat Bread with Dried Figs, Spicy Cheese and Rosemary, Santorini Favas with Braised Capers and Onions and more. Her book, Mediterranean Vegetarian Feasts, contains an expansive and creative list of 150 simple, flavorful, plant-based seasonal dishes. So many people are going toward eating more vegetable and less meat, and this book will give you ideas to help you create delicious, fun dishes that everyone at your table will love.

Learn more about Aglaia Kremezi in this interview on Fine Dining Lovers.
